Head of Community & Quality
Remote / Full-time
Role Summary
88date is a private members-only dating and networking app. Our biggest asset is the
quality of people inside the community — and protecting it is a core product function.
We’re looking for a Head of Community & Quality — someone who
will own community standards end-to-end and help scale quality from thousands to hundreds of
thousands of members.
This role sits at the intersection of product, data, trust & safety, and culture.
What you will do
-
Own community quality across all stages: waitlist → approval → active members
-
Define and maintain clear quality standards (who belongs, who doesn’t — and why)
-
Curate and review edge cases: high-impact profiles, escalations, sensitive situations
-
Work closely with product & data to turn qualitative signals into measurable rules
-
Design scalable moderation logic together with AI/ML tools (not manual moderation)
-
Analyze reports, complaints, and behavioral patterns — and improve systems, not just react
-
Help shape programs like Selected Members / Invite privileges from a quality perspective
-
Partner with operations and support to ensure consistent decisions and tone
-
Protect the brand and the club vibe — quietly, firmly, and intelligently
What we expect
-
Strong intuition for people, behavior, and social dynamics
-
Experience in community, trust & safety, moderation, social or marketplace products
-
Ability to balance exclusivity with scale
-
Data-aware mindset: you don’t guess, you look for signals and patterns
-
Comfortable making unpopular decisions when quality is at stake
-
Clear communication, good judgment, calm authority
-
You care deeply about culture, not just rules
Nice to have
-
Experience in dating, social, luxury, or membership-based products.
-
Background in psychology, sociology, or behavioral analysis
-
Experience working with AI moderation tools or ML-assisted review systems
-
Understanding of fraud, escort detection, or abusive behavior patterns
Why this role matters
At 88date, community quality is the product. This role
defines who gets access, how the club evolves, and why members trust the platform.
You won’t be just “moderating users” — you’ll be shaping a private social ecosystem.
